Valet trash is a doorstep collection service where residents place their bagged trash outside their unit door on scheduled nights. Our uniformed team collects it and takes it to your property's dumpster — no elevators, no parking lots, no hassle for your residents. It's a premium amenity that costs the property a fraction of what residents will pay for it.

Our standard is 5 nights per week — Sunday through Thursday evenings, typically between 8pm and midnight. This is the industry standard and what most residents expect. Custom schedules are available for properties with specific needs.

Our core service covers standard bagged household trash. We also offer optional cardboard and box collection as an add-on — especially popular during move-in and move-out seasons. Bulk item and large furniture pickup can be arranged separately. Ask us about add-ons when you request your proposal.

We take this seriously. If a collection is missed due to anything on our end, we correct it the following night and you'll hear from us directly — no chasing required. Consistent, reliable service is the foundation of what we do. A missed collection without communication is simply not acceptable to us.

No special bags required — standard kitchen trash bags work fine. Some properties provide branded bins or liners as part of the amenity package. We can advise on best practices for your community during onboarding.

✦   Pricing & Setup

Pricing is per door per month and varies based on community size, collection frequency, and location. We provide free custom proposals with no obligation. Most properties find that residents willingly absorb the cost as a monthly amenity fee — often $20–35/month — making the service revenue-neutral or even profitable for the property. Request a proposal and we'll respond within 24 hours.

Once we finalize your service agreement, most properties are up and running within 1–2 weeks. We take care of the heavy lifting: resident communication templates, door hanger distribution, schedule coordination, and staff briefing. You don't have to lift a finger.

We work with properties of varying sizes — from smaller boutique communities to large apartment complexes. Reach out and we'll let you know if your property is a good fit and what pricing would look like.

We offer straightforward service agreements that outline collection schedule, pricing, responsibilities, and terms. Yes — every Bayou Crest team member undergoes a thorough background check before stepping foot on your property. Our team is also uniformed, so residents always know exactly who they're dealing with. We understand we're operating in people's homes and we take that responsibility seriously.

We are in the process of obtaining general liability insurance prior to our first service contract. A Certificate of Insurance will be provided to every property before service begins — this is standard and expected, and we won't show up without it.

Bayou Crest Valet is owned and operated by Taj Ogunsakin, a Houston-based entrepreneur operating under Taj Hurst Associates LLC.
